RepoSage

Overview

RepoSage is a command-line application, written in TypeScript, that analyses a source code repository and generates Cursor-ready developer context: rules, commands, prompts, and documentation. It exists to help developers understand unfamiliar codebases quickly — especially codebases that lack documentation and tests.

Problem

Onboarding onto an undocumented repository is slow, and AI coding assistants are only as useful as the context they are given. Without rules and documentation, an assistant guesses at conventions and produces code that does not fit the project.

Solution

RepoSage reads the repository and produces the context files an AI-assisted editor needs to work well in that codebase, giving both the developer and the assistant a shared, generated understanding of the project's structure and conventions.

Technologies

TypeScript on Node.js, distributed as a CLI.

My Role

Anjo is the creator of RepoSage. The same idea — analyse a repository and produce evidence-backed agent instructions — later became the scaffolding workflow in Asterweave.
